It’s so cold!
As I write this my hands are like little icicles on the ends of my hands. Yes, I could go and grab a jumper, but my shirt is ever so fashionable and my hands are cold, not my body. Anyway, I also found that it is actually quite mild for this time of the year -bad news. I’m cold enough! So, it’s going to get colder and darker and I need cheering up.
Cue List: Winter Warmers 🙂
It’s probably too early to talk about this, but I am going to anyway. It seems that overnight it has turned into winter and what does that mean? CHRISTMAS OF COURSE!
*** Cue many people leaving my blog ***
I’m sorry. I know it’s not even November yet, but I’m planning on being really organised this year and I’ve already bought a present for my Dad. He’s impossible to buy for so when I saw it (obviously can’t say what it is just in case he stumbles across this), but I snapped it up straight away.
If you have read all of my blog posts, you will see that I have a very soft spot for Henry Watson’s Potteries. It really is a very lovely brand that is still family run after so many years and as I have said in precious post we own some of their products and always get compliments on them. They have lasted so many years, but don’t look outdated so I thought I would give you a few reasons as to why I love Henry Watson’s Potteries!
I don’t know about you, but I am amazed that the GBBO is still going.
No, don’t get me wrong, I love it, but surely there are only so many recipes that they can get the bakers to bake? When will they run out of ideas? With so many categories and already so many wonderful series passing us by, I cannot let the programme leave our television screens – I won’t allow it!
If you have read the title I think you’re going to know what this post is about!
Yes, I will be listing a few of my favourite kitchenware companies. I might even throw in a few of my favourite items available at each store – Ooh, that’d be nice wouldn’t it? Well, hold fire and keep reading
I have recently been seeing these everywhere and to be honest, I’m not really sure why! Looking back in old cookery books and a few of the comments online they seem to have been big in the 70’s. However, with their natural material and fat-less cooking they could be making a come back due to another modern health concious wave.
Oh, I’m talking about a chicken brick by the way. A terracotta oven loosely in the shape of a chicken that produces delicious results every time. It’s oven within an oven method of cooking, slowly releases steam and produces delicious and succulent meat – what more could you want?

Is is me, or are people STILL obsessed with macarons?! To be honest, I’m not really one to judge, I’ve never eaten one, never attempted to make one and OK, never even seen a real one of these magnificent little critters! I’ve only ever seen them whilst perusing Pinterest or ogling a cooking program on TV. Maybe a virtual macaron isn’t quite as impressive as the real thing.
So, in light of this tragedy, that is my macaron-less life, I thought I would delve into the depths of the internet and find a few hints and tips as well as some recipes that even I am tempted to try.
